The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series took place this weekend on the Solent and with the just near weather perfect and a racing circuit featuring the best sailors in the world, competing on foiling, wing sailed catamarans, we headed down to capture all the action, and show our support for the Land Rover BAR home team.

The America’s Cup World Series is the first stage of the competition in the 2017 America’s Cup and began back in the summer of 2015. The world series circuit is an early opportunity to put points on the board that carry forward into the next stage of the competition, so the pressure was on for Sir Ben Ainslie and his team to take the lead in the overall rankings on home turf.

It was brilliant to capture the racing on the Solent waters where Britain’s Royal Yacht Squadron was famously beaten by the New York Yacht Club’s 30-metre ‘Schooner’ in the inaugural regatta 165 years ago.

This time round after a thrilling second place finish in the final round earned Sir Ben Ainslie’s team a famous victory, with the Land Rover BAR team edging it over Team Oracle from the USA!
