More from our Studio; some photography and graphic layout for the Barbour x White Mountaineering collaboration, captured here for the brands’ communication and consumer channels.
Barbour – a British heritage brand – focusses on classic and functional outdoor clothing, whereas White Mountaineering is a hyper-modern Japanese fashion brand committed to offering a utilitarian and urban wardrobe.
We’ve been lucky enough to interview Mr.Yosuke Aizawa from White Mountaineering twice before, he used to work for Rei Kawakubo of COMME des GARÇONS fame before setting up this incredible streamlined and technical brand in 2006.
Aizawa’s wash and treatment creates a new take on a Barbour garment, with added versions of White Mountaineering’s characteristic camouflage. The result is a stunning balance between South Shield culture and Tokyo’s futurism.
