Films made by young braves
We started making films, content and experiences for brands over 19 years ago. From humble beginnings in a one room office creating films for friends, then collaborating with the agencies and people that we believed in.
Since then we’ve been helping some of the worlds most loved and responsible brands, bring their stories to life.
Translating & Transforming Brands through Digital
As hungry today as we have ever been, whether it’s investing in our state of the art studio, our people, or our new aerial cinematography film division – runwithwarewolves. We still dedicate time to make our own projects, 4 per year.
So as well as crafting meaningful connected digital experiences for our clients and agency network, we use these projects as a powerful medium to bring new ideas and knowledge back with us.
Our work for clients and brands can be viewed on outdoor smartscreens, mobile devices, retail environments, online and in the home. Comanche films create value added digital and cinematic content in our own in house production and studio facility as well as locations globally.
Today, video is at the core of every experience we create alongside our clients.
On Location - Iceland
Fire, Heart, Earth
Our full production credentials kicked in as we planned plotted and set up our 6th shoot outside the UK. The project a film and photobook shot on Hasselblad explores the characters, emotion and dna of the sport of Cross fit. Athletes identities and expressions were explored, as we set of early each morning following the athletes rigorous training regime across caviar black beaches, volcanic rock, pure snow, and ice caves. Using the Icelandic landscape as the backdrop, we sought to create feelings of vast space, freedom, condition, and unlimited possibility.

A great weekend at The Goodwood Festival of Speed, the brilliant hill climb features historic motor racing vehicles. The Longest Day - Gilbert & George
9 Hours in! Here are some shots of our brief stop with the famous artistic duo Gilbert & George during our #TheLongestDay project in East London. We were luck enough to accompany them on Fournier Street alongside the one and only portrait photographer Tom Oldham! Just a mere 15 Hours to go!
On Location - Ben Nevis, Scotland
Walsh - Fell Running
These shots were taken by the highly talented David Goldman, who we class a great friend and someone we have enjoyed collaborating with. Taken from his project with nowness, the photographs feature Finlay Wild, an experienced fell runner. His local mountain – Ben Nevis – provides obvious running challenges, but then again he has won the Ben Nevis challenge three years in succession.
We have joined up to film a project in conjunction with Norman Walsh, the first trailer of which is currently being played at McCann Erickson London, who are showcasing the project as an exhibition alongside the images David captured in the summer.
On Location - West Wittering's, West Sussex
Triumph of a shoot
Great to join Sam Christmas and his crew this week on our local beach, just a stone’s throw from our office.
The Witterings was a perfect setting for some drone flying and filming some brand spanking new Triumphs tearing along the beach with Pete, the brand’s very own stunt rider!
We will post the results on our social pages and WeAreShuffle Vimeo channel here soon, but for now here are a few behind the scenes shots of Sam and his crew in the zone!
On Location - Shaftesbury, Dorset
Jaguar F-Type R + Tartan stories
A quick look at the fabulous location, the Jaguar F-Type R and we were hooked! A perfect backdrop for todays shoot, autumn colours, perfect light, good people and plenty of ideas is always a great way to start rolling.
On Location - Northern Quarter Manchester
Nice up North
We flew up to Manchester for a weekend as part of a music project with Bench. What a great place to film, wander, and get the vibe of the city!
During a brief tour of the Northern Quarter we met the great Clint Boon of Inspiral Carpets fame (what a gent) and the legendary DJ Graeme Park. We heard all about the music roots of the city built on Acid House via the Haçienda, and the ‘Madchester’ sound with its connections to Factory records.
The next day it was breakfast with Tom Bloxham MBE; a visionary of the city and Chairman of the regeneration company Urban Splash, along with his partner, Architect Jonathan Falkingham. During the 90s they wanted to bring back into use the ample stock of wasted empty buildings lying around in Liverpool and Manchester; with an ambition of filling them with the growing band of post-punk kids looking for cool spaces to live in and trade from.
There’s more about us hanging out with Blossoms and No Hot Ashes and getting some new insight from these hottest new bands about their own sound, and how it is developing and shaping the sound of Manchester scene today! Have a gander here!
On Location - Berlin
A few days in Berlin and stay in Kreuzberg as part of our 10 day whistle stop tour of Europe, today took us past the Berlin wall for a shoot with Darren Lennon on the Canon and Mark Gregson art directing the day. The weather…brrrr!
The Bench team kept us warm with lots of hot drinks and some fun en route, walking through the streets and dodging some interesting characters!
Here’s a few of the good folk who kept the team going for the day, nice to work with you all…here’s to the next time!
On Location - Paris
Hip Hop saves the day.
We visited Paris days after the attacks hit a concert hall, a major stadium, restaurants and bars, almost simultaneously. We could have cancelled but decided to show solidarity and commit ourselves to going to the capital to pay our respects, but also to work and show it in it’s best light. A city full of pride, compassion, art, history and genuinely honest and caring people.
The City was on tenterhooks, as our visit it coincided with the United Nations summit on climate change, so filming was challenging with the streets heavily guarded and lots or security on show.
Without the help and support of the good people at Le Place (The new hip hop centre) and the amazing people that warmed to us, we couldn’t have pulled through, so for now we want to say a big thanks to you all and check back here soon for news of the film project and the weekend we spent in this beautiful city.
On Location - St Mary's Lighthouse, Whitley Bay
Lightkeeper's for the day
Up to the beautiful North East once again and it failed to disappoint. Arriving at 5am to pick up some 4K shots for the opening sequence of our film, the rugged coastline and the scene was set. Normally making our shot list up is a relatively easy affair at least in theory, but sometimes when you arrive on location and the scene is set, this is one of those moments where you have to re-draw the plan.
A fantastic location and inspired choice by the team at 10:4, look forward to sharing the result next season.
On Location - Dunsfold Aerodrome
Another shoot and opportunity to shoot for British icons, Barbour and Land Rover at Dunsfold Aerodrome, the same location used for BBC’s Top Gear.
A glorious day as we set up on the runway, near to the famous Gambon Corner. It was nice to work alongside and spend the day with the team at 10:4 productions, and shoot film next to Adam Whitehead, another great photographer and someone we admire and respect here at the studio
The collection, created for those who love to adventure featured the new Range Rover SV Autobiography, what a machine…great day at the office.
On Location - Shaftesbury, Dorset
Stoats Mill - The Mill House
Loved shooting in a traditional flour mill today, the lighting was beautiful and the building completely epic!
Spending the day capturing the entire process from field through to the milling of the flour, was deeply interesting and rewarding for the crew. A lesson in an ancient artisan craft hopefully not lost for future generations!
Michael Stoate, a fifth generation miller and owner of Stoats Mill was on hand throughout the day, working with us to get the right shots and talk us through each step that he is involved with, such as dressing the stones used to shear the grain to produce the best organic flours going.
Here’s a link to the promo and just some of the moments from the day
