North Sea Outfitters

The Barbour story began in 1894 providing garments for sailors, fishermen and dockers to protect them from the worst of the North Sea weather. The Original North Sea Outfitters collection is inspired by Barbour’s heritage and practical know how in providing garments of the highest quality for a life outdoors come rain or shine.

Drawing upon this rich maritime heritage of Barbour, and the brand’s important links to the north east coast, we produced a series of films, filmed entirely on Holy Island in Northumberland.

This tidal island off the northeast coast of England, provided us with the perfect backdrop to capture the essence of the collection and rugged shorelines.

The brands visual experience is a key focus for Barbour as it develops into new markets, so as part of the production we developed a series of content streams and visual aesthetics, which when combined with Barbour’s uniquely British personality, were used to promote the collection.

Additional global marketing assets were generated from the content that we produced, which included print, digital and experiential elements to support global sales initiatives internally, which were set out in the initial briefing we received from the marketing team at Barbour.
