The art and craft of traditional cheese making will never be lost on the Somerset farm where the Clothier family have been making award winning cheddar in the region since 1861.

It has grown to become one of the largest family-owned cheese makers in Britain and producers of renewable energy winning multiple awards for their ground breaking sustainability, and commitment to being 100% green.

With over 150 years of family farming experience, Wyke Farms cheese and butter is made partially with the milk from herds that graze on the lush pastures of the Mendip Hills, which for generations has been the centre of the Cheddar making region in Somerset.

Our brief was initially to produce a series of content scenarios to help support the explosive growth for Wyke Farms in other markets.

As part of the brief we had to ensure that we captured the time honoured traditions of cheese making, whilst at the same time draw attention to the history, craftsmanship and relationship of the brand to the Somerset countryside.

Using archive stories, research and lots of visual reference to the landscape, values and traditions, the project became a wonderful obsession for our team as we uncovered this beautiful story. With the help and support of the brand and the Clothier family, we co-created the storyboards, developed the ideas into an emotive and highly visual brand film.


We focused on bringing the brand proposition and history to life through content streams and a new brand film. Greater emphasis was placed on evocative content and storytelling around the brands history and moments, enabling the brand to share its rich heritage with their customers globally, both as online content streams, presentations, and within retail environments where the brand performs.

While we were at it, we also updated the brand voice, scripting over 10 hours of narrative, re-colouring and animating the brands beautiful archive photography, which allowed us to include these wonderful moments throughout the theme of the piece.

The overall content and support materials we produced helped showcase the story internally, online and within retail environments for busy autumn and winter retail campaigns.
